LOS ANGELES – American Honda Motor has issued an expansive recall of nearly 391,000 lawnmowers and pressure washer engines. The root of the recall is an improperly manufactured camshaft, which can cause the starter rope to retract suddenly when pulled, posing a danger of injury to unsuspecting users.

Owners of the affected machines are strongly advised to stop using them immediately. Honda is urging all customers to schedule a visit with an authorized Honda Power Equipment dealer for a free inspection and any needed repairs.

For additional information or to confirm if your equipment falls under this recall, consumers can visit the official recall site at https://powerequipment.honda.com/support/recalls-and-updates or reach out to Honda directly via phone at (888) 888-3139.
