Sacramento, CA – The National Weather Service in Sacramento warns of breezy to gusty north-to-east winds across Northern California beginning late Sunday evening through Monday morning, with another round of stronger winds expected Wednesday into Thursday morning.

Forecast data shows peak gusts of 25 to 30 mph, particularly around Redding, Marysville, and the foothill communities. Winds will likely remain lighter in the Central Valley but could still cause minor impacts, especially to outdoor holiday decorations and loose objects.

While no formal advisories have been issued yet, forecasters note that midweek winds may become strong enough to elevate fire weather concerns in typically dry areas.

Residents are urged to secure decorations, holiday displays, and outdoor items, and to stay updated via weather.gov/sacramento for any advisories or Red Flag Warnings that may be issued.
