Sacramento, CA – Breezy and dry conditions are expected to develop across the northern and central Sacramento Valley late Sunday night into Monday, as north to east winds increase behind a departing weather system, according to the National Weather Service in Sacramento.
Forecasters say wind gusts of 20 to 30 mph are expected along and west of the Interstate 5 corridor, with the strongest winds likely during the early morning and afternoon hours Monday. Areas such as Redding, Chico, and Red Bluff could experience the most noticeable gusts.
The winds are expected to enhance drying across the region, though no precipitation is forecast through early week. Residents should use caution with outdoor activities or equipment that could spark fires, as humidity levels may remain low during peak wind periods.
Conditions are expected to gradually ease by late Monday evening, with calmer weather returning Tuesday.
