Rutland, VT – The Rutland County Sheriff’s Office is once again hosting its annual Stuff-A-Cruiser event, a holiday donation drive to support local families in need. Donations are being accepted now through Thursday, Dec. 19 at the Sheriff’s Department, located at 88 Grove Street in Rutland.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, the department is partnering with the Vermont Department for Children and Families to ensure all donated items go directly to families across the county who could use extra help this holiday season.

Requested donations include new, unwrapped clothing, new toys, gift cards (no cash), and non-perishable food items. Community members can drop off donations at any time during the event window.

The drive will conclude with a special Meet and Greet with Santa Claus on Thursday, Dec. 19, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., also at the Sheriff’s Office. Free printed photos with Santa will be available for pickup the following day. Light refreshments will be served.

This annual event continues to be one of Rutland County’s most popular community drives, helping brighten the holidays for dozens of families each year.
