Rutherford County, TN – Drivers in Rutherford County should expect major delays today as Flat Rock Road remains closed following a crash involving a semi-truck.
According to the Rutherford County Sheriff’s Office, the truck snagged utility lines in the 550 block of Flat Rock Road, breaking a utility pole and knocking out power in the area. Officials said Middle Tennessee Electric (MTE) crews are on the scene working to replace the damaged pole.
The roadway will remain closed for an extended period while repairs are underway. Authorities have not released an exact timeline for when the road will reopen. Motorists are urged to seek alternate routes and avoid the area until further notice.
No injuries were immediately reported in connection with the crash. However, the downed pole and power outage are expected to cause disruptions for both drivers and nearby residents.
