Route 106 Accident: Fatal Collision Leaves One Child Dead, Five Injured in Loudon

Loudon, N.H. – A tragic head-on collision on Route 106 in Loudon claimed the life of an eight-year-old child and left five others injured. The accident occurred on July 12, 2024, around 6:37 p.m. near Staniels Road, involving a Toyota 4 Runner driven by Stacey Sergeant, 52, and a Mazda 3 driven by Philip Sparacio, 36.

Upon arrival, Loudon Police, Fire and EMS, and nearby town resources found the two vehicles severely damaged. According to the New Hampshire State Police, two occupants of the Toyota 4 Runner sustained serious injuries and were transported to the hospital. In the Mazda 3, three occupants were also taken to the hospital, with two children suffering from life-threatening injuries. Tragically, the eight-year-old child was pronounced deceased upon arrival at the hospital.

Preliminary investigation indicates that the Mazda 3 was traveling south when it crossed the center line, colliding head-on with the northbound Toyota 4 Runner. At the request of the Loudon Police Department, the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction (CAR) Unit was brought in to assist with the investigation, supported by troopers from the Troop D barracks. Route 106 remained shut down for several hours as the crash scene was processed.
