Roselle, Ill. — The Roselle Police Department posted a traffic notice for road closures that began today, June 25, at 1:00 p.m. until tomorrow, June 26, at 9:00 p.m. for events in downtown Roselle.
Prospect Street was closed from Main Street to Elm Street beginning at 1:00 p.m. today while the city set up for the French Market. The market ran today from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Roselle French Market is open every Wednesday until August 27 at these times with rotating vendors.
Road closures from the market will continue into tomorrow for the upcoming Concerts on Main event. From Wednesday night into Thursday before the event, roads will remain closed to set up. Prospect Street will remain closed for the concert with a slight change in where the road closure will take place. The road will be closed from 14 South Prospect Street to Elm Street. Roads will reopen on Thursday, June 26, at approximately 9:00 p.m. after the end of the Concerts on Main event.
Concerts on Main is a city event that happens over six Thursdays in the summer. The June 26th event is the second to take place this summer with four more to follow on July 10, July 24, August 14 and August 26. In downtown Roselle, local bands will play live music from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. There will be a rotating lineup of food vendors at each concert, including Pollyanna Brewing and Lynfred Winery.
