Romeoville, IL – Romeoville is gearing up for a major Independence Day celebration with its biggest fireworks display yet, taking place Thursday, July 3rd at 9:30 p.m. The event will feature three synchronized shows launching simultaneously from Volunteer Park, Lukancic Middle School, and Discovery Park.
According to the Lockport Township Park District, the triple-fireworks format is designed to allow residents to view the spectacle from their neighborhoods, reducing the need for crowding in any one location. Each site will launch a coordinated show, accompanied by music broadcast live on Star 96.7 FM.
To ensure safety, officials have emphasized that residents must stay outside designated safety zones and avoid gathering at any of the three launch sites. Parking lots at these parks will be closed beginning earlier in the evening on Thursday. Attendance at the fireworks locations will be restricted.
For those without clear views from home, the Village Hall parking lots at 1050 W. Romeo Road will be open for fireworks viewing. However, there will be no additional programming or events taking place at that location.
This multi-site setup aims to provide a vibrant and safe celebration experience for the entire Romeoville community, allowing thousands to enjoy the fireworks without the need to travel or gather in large numbers.
