Reidsville, NC – Deputies with the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office are investigating a reported threat at McMichael High School in Mayodan today, prompting a coordinated law enforcement and school response.

According to the Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the high school Monday, September 15, 2025, after a threat was made toward the school. Authorities said they are working closely with school administrators and staff to conduct a full investigation into the matter.

“The safety of all students, staff, and community members remains our top priority,” the Sheriff’s Office said in a statement released Monday morning.
