Following a review by the Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office, a 14-year-old Rockford male was taken into custody and charged with multiple firearm offenses, including aggravated unlawful possession of a weapon.

Police reported a second juvenile gun arrest early Sunday morning around 12:25 a.m. Officers responded to a fight in the 1000 block of Harlem Boulevard, where they observed a 17-year-old male allegedly run from police and discard a loaded firearm equipped with an automatic switch. He was taken into custody and lodged in juvenile detention.
