On October 30, 2025, officers executed a search warrant in the 1700 block of Hamilton Avenue, where Hackler was taken into custody. The Winnebago County State’s Attorney’s Office reviewed the case and authorized five counts of possession of child pornography. Hackler was booked into the County Jail, authorities said.
