Riverview, FL – Deputies in Hillsborough County arrested three suspects early Sunday morning after responding to reports of people checking vehicle door handles in a Riverview neighborhood.

According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred around 3:45 a.m. on October 19, 2025, in the 11000 block of Sage Canyon Drive. Deputies said their Aviation Section spotted three males entering a parked vehicle before two of them ran off on foot.

Aviation officers directed a K9 unit to track the suspects into a wooded area, where all three were eventually taken into custody. Officials identified them as Tiqueze Smith, 19, and two juveniles, 15.

The sheriff’s office said the trio faces multiple charges, including Burglary of an Unoccupied Conveyance and Loitering or Prowling.

Deputies credited teamwork between air and ground units for the quick arrests, adding that residents are encouraged to lock their vehicles and report suspicious activity immediately.
