Hanover, VA – A multi-month drug investigation spanning Hanover County, Richmond, and Chesterfield led to multiple search warrants and two arrests this week, according to the Hanover County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies say the probe centered around alleged marijuana distribution connected to a vape shop operating in Hanover County.

According to investigators, search warrants were executed November 20 at eight commercial and residential locations. Businesses searched included Clay’s Market on Leadbetter Road in Hanover County, along with three Richmond-area stores: Clay Express Mart on Clay Street, Clay Market on West Main Street, and Clay Mart Vapes on West Broad Street.

Deputies also searched three residences—two in Richmond on Braidwood Road and Grantwood Road, and one on Forest Hill Avenue in North Chesterfield. Another warrant was served at a storage facility on West Main Street in Richmond. Authorities also seized marijuana, cash, and executed warrants on five vehicles tied to the case.

According to the sheriff’s office, two men were arrested following the searches.

• Mohammed Aramin, 33, of Richmond, was charged with allegedly distributing marijuana and allegedly distributing marijuana within 1,000 feet of a school.
• Ihab Aramin, 33, of North Chesterfield, was charged with allegedly distributing marijuana.

Both men were transported to the Pamunkey Regional Jail, with additional charges pending as the investigation continues.

The sheriff’s office thanked multiple partner agencies, including the Virginia State Police, FBI Richmond Field Office, DEA Richmond Field Office, Richmond Police, and Chesterfield Police.
