According to Sheriff Leon Lott, Ernest Small, 38, was arrested in connection with a kidnapping and first-degree criminal sexual conduct reported on Friday, December 12, 2025.
Deputies responded around 11:15 p.m. to a call for service in the 2200 block of Decker Boulevard after a victim reported she had just been sexually assaulted in the 200 block of Meredith Square, authorities said.
Investigators stated that following additional investigation and DNA confirmation, Small was taken into custody on Wednesday, December 17, 2025. He has been charged with first-degree criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping.
According to the sheriff’s department, Small has been booked into the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center, where he has been denied bond.
