According to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, Sheriff Leon Lott announced the arrest of Michael Liggett, who is charged with two counts of Aggravated Voyeurism.
Deputies said the investigation began on December 25, 2025, when one of Liggett’s family members contacted authorities after allegedly finding explicit photos on his cellphone. The complainant also reported discovering a hidden camera inside the home.
Investigators obtained a search warrant for Liggett’s residence, where a second hidden camera and additional evidence were seized, officials said. Liggett was taken into custody on January 8, 2026, and transported to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.
Authorities said the investigation remains active and more victims may be identified as evidence is reviewed.
