Providence, R.I. – A stretch of picture-perfect summer weather is unfolding across Rhode Island, with high temperatures near 90°F expected by Monday and no rain in sight through at least midweek.

According to the National Weather Service in Norton, today’s high in Providence will reach 84°F under sunny skies, with calm winds turning southerly by afternoon. Overnight lows dip to around 60°F, offering only slight relief from the daytime heat.

The week ahead brings steady sunshine and climbing temperatures: Monday and Tuesday will see highs of 89°F and 85°F respectively, with mostly sunny skies and light winds from the south and east. Conditions will remain mostly dry, though the combination of warm temperatures and calm winds may increase ground-level ozone and UV exposure—residents are advised to limit prolonged outdoor activity during peak afternoon hours.

By Wednesday, clouds return briefly, but temperatures remain warm in the low 80s. There’s still no significant rain expected through Thursday, making this an ideal stretch for outdoor events, though staying hydrated and checking on vulnerable neighbors is encouraged.

Additional advisories could be issued if air quality worsens or heat indices rise.
