Providence, R.I. – Clear skies and unseasonably warm weather are set to dominate Rhode Island through Tuesday, with high temperatures climbing from the upper 70s Saturday to the mid-80s by the start of the workweek.

According to the National Weather Service, Providence and surrounding cities can expect sunshine Saturday and Sunday, with daytime highs reaching 82°F by Sunday and peaking at 86°F on Monday. Light winds and mostly calm conditions will prevail, but drivers should stay alert for patchy fog before 8 a.m. Sunday, particularly on rural roads in Kent and Washington counties.

Travelers can expect smooth commutes with no rain in the forecast and only light evening breezes. Outdoor plans are encouraged, but residents should stay hydrated as temperatures rise into the mid-80s by Monday afternoon. Those near the coast may see slightly cooler breezes, but humidity will remain moderate, making for ideal beach weather.

The warm, dry stretch is expected to last through at least Tuesday, with partly sunny skies and highs in the low to mid-80s. Another update will be issued if weather conditions change, especially regarding fog risks or sudden humidity spikes.
