Providence, R.I. – Cloudy skies and breezy conditions overnight will give way to a bright stretch of weather for Rhode Island as the week begins, with sunshine and comfortable late-summer temperatures expected through the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, Monday will start mostly cloudy before skies clear, with highs near 74 degrees. Winds from the northeast could gust up to 25 mph during the morning before calming later in the day. By Tuesday, Rhode Islanders can expect sunshine and highs in the mid-70s, followed by mild, partly cloudy nights with lows in the 50s.

Providence, Warwick, and Pawtucket will see daytime highs between 74 and 78 degrees through Friday, with winds shifting south by midweek. Wednesday and Thursday both look dry and partly sunny, ideal for commuting, outdoor events, and late-summer beach trips.

Residents should plan for cooler evenings, with overnight lows dipping into the low-to-mid 50s most nights. By Friday and Saturday, temperatures climb into the upper 70s, offering a warm but manageable close to the week.

The National Weather Service notes the next chance for rain holds off until Sunday, when scattered showers could return across Rhode Island.
