Madison, WI – Authorities have designated SSM Health Dean East on Stoughton Road as the family reunification center following Monday morning’s mass shooting at Abundant Life Christian School. The incident left two dead and eight others injured, prompting a swift and widespread response.
The Dane County Sheriff’s Office announced the reunification center to assist families as they seek information about their loved ones. Nearby facilities, including SSM Health Dean Medical Group Madison East, have temporarily ceased operations for the day. Officials urged the public to avoid the area to allow emergency personnel to manage the situation.
The shooting occurred earlier Monday at 4901 East Buckeye Road in Madison. Multiple medical transports were reported, and law enforcement remains on site as the investigation continues.
Local schools, including those in Fitchburg, have increased police presence out of caution, though no additional threats have been reported. Authorities are asking for patience and vigilance as the community works to process the tragedy and support those affected.
