Reno, NV – Snow and rain will continue to impact Reno into early next week as unsettled spring weather brings fluctuating temperatures and gusty winds across northern Nevada.
According to the National Weather Service in Reno, a mix of snow and rain showers is expected through Tuesday evening, with chances peaking Monday morning and again late Tuesday. Snow levels will fluctuate between 4900 and 6300 feet depending on the time of day, with minimal to no accumulation expected in most areas.
Winds will be a key factor in this system. Gusts may reach up to 35 mph from Sunday night through Tuesday afternoon, particularly in exposed valleys and higher elevations. Monday morning could bring the heaviest precipitation, with up to a 90% chance of rain and snow before noon, followed by breezy and partly cloudy conditions Monday night.
While this weather event is not expected to bring significant snow totals, residents should prepare for reduced visibility on roadways and slick conditions in higher elevations.
