Reno, Nev. – Northern Nevada will hold on to warm, sunny afternoons through Saturday before a shift in the weather brings the chance for showers by Sunday. Highs are expected to stay in the mid-80s during the workweek, offering a dry stretch for outdoor activities.

According to the National Weather Service in Reno, conditions will remain calm with light afternoon breezes until clouds begin moving in late Saturday. By Sunday, scattered showers are possible after 11 a.m., with cooler highs topping out around 80 degrees. The unsettled weather pattern may linger into early next week, with additional chances of showers Monday and Tuesday.

Drivers around Reno, Sparks, and along I-80 should be alert for wet pavement by Sunday afternoon, though no flooding concerns are currently expected. Outdoor plans, including trips to Lake Tahoe and Pyramid Lake, should factor in the chance of changing skies as the weekend closes.

Calm mornings with chilly lows in the 50s will continue, so residents are advised to dress in layers and prepare for both brisk mornings and warm afternoons.

Showers remain possible into Tuesday, with cooler temperatures settling into the upper 60s by midweek.
