Reno, Nev. – Sunny skies and mild conditions will dominate northern Nevada through Tuesday, but a midweek change could bring scattered showers to Reno and surrounding areas. Highs will remain in the low to mid-80s, making for warm afternoons across the region.
According to the National Weather Service, Reno will stay mostly clear tonight with lows near 51 and calm winds. Monday and Tuesday will remain dry, with highs near 80 to 84 degrees before a weak system moves in midweek. A 20 percent chance of showers arrives Wednesday after 11 a.m., followed by a stronger chance of rain Wednesday night.
The best shot at precipitation will come late Wednesday evening, which may dampen roads in Washoe County and surrounding areas. While widespread rainfall is not expected, drivers should be prepared for slick conditions on Interstate 80 and U.S. 395 if showers develop.
Thursday looks drier with highs in the lower 80s, though another slight chance of showers lingers into the afternoon. By Friday, conditions clear again, keeping Reno warm and dry into next weekend.
More advisories could be issued midweek if showers expand or strengthen.
