According to the National Weather Service in Reno, Monday through Thursday will remain largely dry and tranquil as high pressure dominates northern Nevada. Winds are expected to stay under 10 mph, providing near-perfect autumn weather for outdoor plans and commutes.

Conditions begin to shift late Friday as a weak Pacific system approaches, bringing a slight chance of showers to higher elevations near 7,500 feet and cooler temperatures heading into the weekend. Drivers traveling toward Donner Summit or Lake Tahoe should be alert for possible light snow above 7,000 feet Friday night.

The weekend will turn a bit cooler but still pleasant, with highs in the low 60s to near 70 by Sunday. No major weather disruptions are expected until next week.
