Nevada – Frost coats rooftops and parked cars across Reno this morning as the coldest air of the week lingers over the Truckee Meadows. Breath hangs in the air while the sunrise slowly brightens the Sierra skyline.
Temperatures began the morning near 30°F across Reno with calm winds and clear skies. The crisp air will warm quickly as sunshine spreads across western Nevada.
According to the National Weather Service in Reno, temperatures will climb to around 58°F this afternoon as dry air and strong March sunshine settle over the region. Light east winds will develop later in the day.
Road conditions across Interstate 80, U.S. Highway 395, and Pyramid Highway remain dry this morning. However, early drivers should still watch for isolated slick patches on shaded roads where frost developed.
Clear skies continue tonight with temperatures falling back near 35°F across the Reno–Sparks area.

Sunshine dominates much of the day with temperatures surging to about 70°F, nearly 40 degrees warmer than early morning readings today. Light winds keep the day comfortable for outdoor activities across Reno, Sparks, and Carson City.
