Midland, TX – Texas residents can expect a significant break from the relentless heat starting Monday, as temperatures begin to cool across the state. This weekend, Saturday will continue to bring intense heat, with highs reaching up to 105°F in cities like Pecos and Midland. However, relief is on the way as the heat wave weakens.
According to the National Weather Service in Midland, temperatures will start dropping by Sunday afternoon. Sunday’s highs will range from 88°F in Pine Springs to 104°F in Snyder, marking the beginning of a cooling trend that will continue into the week.
By Monday, temperatures will finally fall below 100°F for most of the region, with highs reaching 93°F in Midland and Odessa and only 88°F in Alpine. The cooler weather will provide much-needed relief from the intense summer heat.
Looking ahead, the cooling trend is expected to persist into next week, bringing double-digit highs across Texas. Residents should stay hydrated and continue to take precautions against heat until the temperatures stabilize.
