This represents a 130% increase from normal, largely due to heavy rain brought on by Hurricane Debby in June. Sarasota-Bradenton leads the area with a staggering 50.99 inches, marking a 169% rise from the average, while other areas like Fort Myers and Ruskin have also seen notable increases.
Looking ahead, the weather forecast for Tampa Bay shows mostly clear skies with temperatures hovering around the low to mid-90s. Today, temperatures are expected to reach 92°F, with clear skies continuing into Wednesday. However, Thursday brings a slight chance of rain, with a 30% probability of showers and thunderstorms. The rest of the week is expected to remain dry, with sunny skies and temperatures peaking at 94°F on Wednesday and gradually cooling to 91°F by the weekend.
