Raleigh, NC Weather: Patchy Fog Early Wednesday, Sunshine Returns by Afternoon

Raleigh, N.C. – Drivers in the Triangle may encounter reduced visibility Wednesday morning as patchy fog lingers before 9 a.m., followed by partly sunny skies and highs near 87 degrees.

According to the National Weather Service in Raleigh, overnight lows will hover near 70, with light northeast winds at 3 to 5 mph keeping conditions calm into the morning. North winds will increase slightly during the day, with gusts up to 21 mph possible by Thursday.

Midweek conditions stay mostly dry, with highs in the mid-80s through Saturday and comfortable overnight lows in the upper 60s. Friday looks mostly sunny with a high near 83, while Saturday will be partly sunny with similar temperatures.

By Sunday, a shift in the pattern brings a 40% chance of showers after 2 p.m., marking the next rainmaker for the region. Scattered showers may linger into Sunday night before clearing Monday. Commuters should remain cautious during morning fog hours and plan around possible wet conditions late in the weekend.

More advisories may be issued if storm chances increase heading into early next week.
