Raleigh, N.C. – Central North Carolina will enjoy another mild, comfortable day Wednesday as sunshine and below-average temperatures stretch across the region. Afternoon highs are expected to top out between the upper 70s and mid-80s, keeping conditions cooler than typical for early September.

According to the National Weather Service office in Raleigh, skies will remain partly to mostly sunny, with no rain expected. Low humidity will make for pleasant conditions across the Triangle and surrounding areas. Temperatures will climb steadily from the 50s and low 60s at sunrise to peak in the low 80s by midafternoon before easing into the 60s again overnight.

Communities including Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill can expect highs near 82 degrees, while Greensboro and Winston-Salem will hover just below 80. Fayetteville and Rocky Mount could see slightly warmer conditions, reaching the mid-80s during the late afternoon.

Drivers and outdoor workers should find little weather disruption, though sunscreen and hydration are recommended during the midday hours. Cooler morning starts will continue to favor outdoor exercise and early commutes.

Conditions remain stable through Wednesday night, with no advisories or warnings in effect. The next chance of unsettled weather is not expected until later in the week.
