Raleigh, NC – Spring weather in North Carolina will bring sunny skies and warm temperatures this weekend, but increased fire danger is a concern through Friday evening. Dry conditions, gusty winds, and low humidity levels are expected to create a heightened wildfire risk across the central and western parts of the state.
According to the National Weather Service (NWS), a fire danger alert is in effect until 8 p.m. Friday for the Piedmont and Sandhills regions. Winds from the northwest will gust between 15-25 mph, with humidity levels dropping as low as 25%. The NWS advises postponing outdoor burning and taking precautions to prevent accidental fires.
