Gaylord, MI – Rain and snow will make a comeback in Northern Michigan on Saturday night, creating potentially hazardous travel conditions on roadways like M-32 and US-131.

The National Weather Service in Gaylord predicts rain showers starting Monday morning, with temperatures reaching a high of 40°F. As evening approaches, colder air will bring a transition to snow, with slick spots likely on untreated roads. Motorists are urged to drive with caution, especially during the evening commute.

Tuesday is expected to bring more widespread snow showers and colder temperatures, with highs in the mid-30s. Lake-effect snow could create additional challenges, particularly in areas prone to localized accumulations. By midweek, conditions will remain unsettled, with snow showers persisting and highs barely climbing above freezing.

Thanksgiving travelers should plan ahead, as road conditions may deteriorate due to icy patches and reduced visibility. Those driving along M-32, US-131, and I-75 are advised to allow extra time and check road conditions frequently.

With colder air dominating the holiday week, residents can expect a wintry mix to linger, impacting both local travel and outdoor holiday plans.
