Wilmington, OH – The National Weather Service in Wilmington reports that light flurries will move through the region today (Saturday), with a larger weather system arriving Sunday that will bring rain and snow to parts of Ohio and eastern Indiana.
Rain will develop Sunday morning and continue into the late overnight hours. Most areas will see mainly rain, but along and north of Interstate 70, precipitation could mix with or change to wet snow, particularly Sunday evening as temperatures drop.
The highest chance for minor snow accumulations — generally under an inch — will occur in the circled area on the map, covering parts of western and central Ohio.
Colder air will move in late Sunday, which may cause rain to transition to light snow farther south before the system exits. Travel impacts should remain minor, though slick spots are possible in the evening.
