However, rain showers may develop by late afternoon, especially after 5 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. By 8 p.m., the rain is expected to transition to snow as temperatures drop sharply to an overnight low of 19°F.
While snow accumulation is predicted to be minimal, road conditions could become hazardous, particularly along Highway 96 and nearby residential areas. Drivers should be prepared for icy patches and reduced visibility overnight into early Sunday morning.
Sunday will bring clear skies but colder conditions, with a high near 36°F. The sunny weather should help improve road conditions, but residents are advised to monitor for lingering ice during the morning hours.
