Fort Worth, TX — Rain and thunderstorms are set to impact North Texas this weekend, bringing wet conditions and potential weather hazards. A series of unsettled weather patterns will begin late Saturday, increasing rain chances across Dallas-Fort Worth and neighboring areas through Sunday.

According to the National Weather Service, light showers are expected to develop Saturday evening, with heavier rain and isolated thunderstorms likely by Sunday afternoon. Residents along I-35 and surrounding areas should prepare for reduced visibility, slick road conditions, and potential travel delays. Some storms could produce small hail and occasional lightning, especially in areas like Waco, Sherman, and Killeen.

Temperatures will remain seasonably cool, ranging from lows in the 40s to highs in the mid-60s during the weekend. Winds will also increase slightly, with gusts up to 20 mph expected Sunday afternoon.

The wet pattern will ease by late Sunday, but scattered showers may linger into early next week. Rain chances are forecast to diminish by Tuesday, bringing a mix of sunshine and mild conditions to the region.

Drivers are urged to monitor weather updates closely, slow down on wet roads, and plan for potential interruptions to outdoor activities. Use caution when traveling, particularly on major highways such as I-35, I-20, and I-30, which could experience flooding in low-lying areas.

Stay tuned to the National Weather Service for updates and consider rescheduling outdoor plans if severe weather develops.
