Boise, ID – Wet and cold weather is on the way for Boise, with rain expected Friday morning and snow likely by nightfall. The changing conditions could make travel hazardous, particularly on major roadways like I-84.

By evening, colder air will move into the region, causing rain to transition into snow. Northwest winds between 8 to 13 mph will add to the chill.
Saturday will bring mostly sunny skies, but temperatures will remain cold, with a high near 35 degrees. Overnight lows on Saturday are expected to plummet to 18 degrees. Sunday offers partly sunny conditions and a high of 34 degrees, with similar cold temperatures overnight.
Residents are encouraged to prepare for the icy conditions by driving cautiously and ensuring winter gear and vehicles are ready for the cold snap. Another chance of snow returns early next week, so stay updated on weather conditions.
