Pittsburgh, PA – Rain across western Pennsylvania will taper off later today as a high-pressure system pushes into the region. Temperatures, however, will remain below average, hovering in the low to mid-40s. Drivers, especially along I-376, should remain cautious this morning due to lingering fog and wet roads.
According to the National Weather Service, rain will end by late morning Saturday, giving way to cloudy skies and light winds. Despite the clearing, cooler air will settle in, holding high temperatures around 46°F. Saturday night is expected to stay cloudy, with lows dipping into the upper 30s.
Looking ahead, Sunday brings drier conditions and partly cloudy skies, with highs reaching a more seasonable 50°F. However, a shift begins Monday afternoon when another storm system moves through, increasing rain chances to 70% by evening. Monday’s highs will climb to 55°F, offering a brief warm-up before colder air arrives midweek.
Thanksgiving week kicks off with a mix of sun and rain. Tuesday will be partly sunny and cooler, with highs near 48°F, before a chance of rain and snow develops by Wednesday night. By Friday, temperatures are expected to drop significantly, with highs around 40°F and a potential for snow flurries.
Residents are urged to prepare for changing conditions, especially midweek travel, as rain and snow could impact holiday plans. Stay updated with local forecasts and allow extra time for commutes.
