Union Grove, WI – A 36-year-old Racine County man was arrested Monday after deputies allegedly discovered hundreds of images of child sexual abuse material (CSAM) on his phone, according to the Racine County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to a home in the 1400 block of York Street in Union Grove on November 17 after a woman reported finding suspected CSAM on her husband’s phone. The man was identified as Aaron D. Wroblewski, officials said.

According to investigators, Wroblewski initially denied consent for deputies to search his device. After obtaining a warrant, the Sheriff’s Criminal Investigations Bureau reportedly found hundreds of images depicting children between the ages of 3 and 16 that were downloaded from an encrypted messaging app.

Wroblewski was booked into the Racine County Jail and is being held on a $500,000 bail. He faces 10 counts of possession of child pornography, investigators said. Charging recommendations have been forwarded to the Racine County District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.

Sheriff Christopher Schmaling stated, “No child should ever be exploited in any manner, and the images uncovered in this case represent actual victims who have suffered real and lasting trauma.”
