Montréal, QC – Snow and biting wind chills are expected to sweep across Montréal Friday night into Saturday, bringing 10 cm of accumulation and hazardous road conditions across southern Quebec.

According to Environment Canada, snow will begin near midnight Friday and continue into early Saturday morning, paired with strong northeast wind gusts up to 50 km/h. Temperatures will drop to –5°C overnight, with wind chills nearing –13°C. Roadways like Route 138 and Route 112 may become slick, making travel risky through early Saturday.

Daytime highs on Saturday will remain below freezing at –3°C, with persistent flurries and low visibility throughout the day. Commuters and weekend travelers are urged to delay non-essential travel and prepare vehicles with emergency kits and snow tires.

Sunday brings a mix of rain and snow across the region, with a high of 5°C and a low near freezing. Rainfall Sunday night could create slushy, icy conditions into Monday morning.
