Paducah, KY – Western Kentucky and surrounding areas will see a shift from calm, clear Halloween weather to a soggy Saturday as a storm system moves through the region.

According to the US National Weather Service Paducah, skies will stay mostly clear and mild Friday evening, ideal for trick-or-treating, with temperatures falling from around 60°F at 5 p.m. to the upper 40s by 8 p.m. Winds will remain light from the southwest.

By Saturday afternoon and evening, a potent upper-level storm system will bring scattered to numerous showers to the Quad State region—covering western Kentucky, southern Illinois, southeast Missouri, and northwest Tennessee. Rainfall totals are expected to range from a quarter to one-third of an inch in western Kentucky, with lighter amounts farther north and west.

Sunday will bring cooler and drier weather, with highs in the mid-50s to upper 50s and a possible frosty start in parts of southeast Missouri and southern Illinois.
