According to the National Weather Service office in Paducah, the enhanced risk level (Level 3 of 5) is now in effect for much of western Kentucky, southeast Missouri, southern Illinois, and southwest Indiana. Primary hazards include hail up to the size of quarters or larger, wind gusts exceeding 60 mph, and a few tornadoes. Heavy rainfall is expected but is not forecast to result in widespread flooding due to the fast movement of the storm line.
