Davenport, IA – The US National Weather Service in the Quad Cities says windy but mild conditions will dominate the region through midweek, followed by a brief chance of light rain Thursday night.
Wednesday will be the windiest day, with gusts of 30 to 40 mph, especially during the morning hours. Despite the winds, skies will remain mostly sunny, and temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 50s.
By Thursday, clouds will begin to increase, with rain chances between 40–70% developing late in the evening as a weak system moves through. Friday is expected to clear out again with abundant sunshine and highs in the upper 50s to near 60°F, staying above seasonal averages.
Forecasters note that overall weather conditions remain quiet and dry heading into the weekend, making for a relatively stable pattern across eastern Iowa and western Illinois.
