Davenport, IA – After a chilly start, temperatures across eastern Iowa and western Illinois will warm into the 50s and low 60s this afternoon as high pressure moves east, according to the US National Weather Service Quad Cities.

Clouds will gradually increase Saturday as an upper-level system approaches, bringing a 20–30% chance for light rain. Any rainfall that does occur is expected to remain below one-tenth of an inch. Winds will stay light to moderate, coming from the southeast at 10–15 mph.

Sunday will see continued mild conditions, with highs in the upper 50s to near 60°F and another slight chance of light rain, mainly during the afternoon. Overnight lows throughout the weekend will fall into the 40s.

Forecasters describe the pattern as “seasonable October weather,” with no major systems expected. The region will stay mostly calm, cool, and comfortable heading into early next week.
