Davenport, IA – Residents across eastern Iowa and western Illinois can expect a stretch of warm, dry weather as September comes to a close, according to the National Weather Service Quad Cities.

Forecasters said Saturday that daytime highs will climb into the low to mid-80s through Monday, bringing summer-like warmth to the region. Overnight lows, however, will dip into the upper 40s to upper 50s, offering a reminder that fall has officially arrived.

According to the National Weather Service, dry conditions will dominate the forecast with no rain expected through the start of the week. Sunday will bring highs between 81 and 88 degrees, followed by a mild night with temperatures in the mid-50s. Monday will be slightly warmer, with highs near 84 to 89 degrees and nighttime lows holding in the upper 50s.

The clear skies and calm conditions are expected to continue into early next week, making for favorable weather for outdoor activities, travel, and harvest operations across the Quad Cities, eastern Iowa, and northwestern Illinois.

No severe weather or precipitation is forecast during this period, but officials encourage residents to monitor updates as October approaches, when cooler systems are more likely to develop.
