Quad Cities, IA/IL – Mild fall weather will continue into Sunday across eastern Iowa and western Illinois, with widespread highs in the mid-50s and plenty of sunshine expected. Overnight lows will drop into the upper 20s and low 30s under mostly clear skies.

According to the National Weather Service Quad Cities office, a storm system will track across the region Sunday night into Monday, bringing widespread rainfall to much of the area. Forecasters say most communities can expect rainfall totals over a quarter of an inch, with rain chances increasing to 60–85% on Monday.

Sunday remains the best day of the weekend for outdoor plans, featuring sunshine and highs between 53–56 degrees. Clouds increase Sunday night as the next system approaches from the west.

On Monday, temperatures will range from 50–57 degrees with steady rain likely by morning and continuing through the day. The system exits by early Tuesday, leaving partly sunny skies and highs in the mid-50s to upper 50s to start the shortened holiday week.

Travel impacts for Monday may include wet roads and reduced visibility during the morning commute across Davenport, Bettendorf, Rock Island, Moline, Muscatine, and surrounding communities. No flooding or severe weather is expected.
