Davenport, IA – Residents across eastern Iowa and western Illinois can expect a mix of warm temperatures and isolated storm chances through the week before cooler weather arrives this weekend.
According to the National Weather Service Quad Cities, scattered showers and storms are possible each day through Thursday, with the greatest chances developing across Iowa. Today’s forecast calls for a mix of sun and clouds, with highs ranging from the mid-80s in the north to the low 90s in the south. Isolated afternoon storms are expected in parts of southeast Iowa into west-central Illinois.
On Tuesday, isolated showers and thunderstorms are likely in eastern Iowa, with highs between 85 and 92 degrees. Wednesday will be mostly sunny with highs in the upper 80s, though a slight chance of showers remains for eastern Iowa. By Thursday, partly cloudy skies will dominate before a stronger cold front pushes into the region late Thursday into Friday.
That front is expected to bring the best chances for rain, with 20–40% shower potential Friday and highs in the upper 70s to low 80s. Forecasters say cooler, more comfortable weather will follow, settling in for the weekend.
Travelers and commuters are advised to monitor updates, especially later this week as the front approaches.
