Davenport, IA – A Freeze Warning is in effect tonight across the Quad Cities region and portions of eastern Iowa and western Illinois, as temperatures are expected to dip into the upper 20s to mid-30s, according to the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities.
After a widespread freeze early Friday, forecasters say conditions will gradually moderate through the weekend, with overnight lows rising into the 30s and 40s and daytime highs climbing into the mid- to upper 50s.
Light southeasterly winds and increasing cloud cover will help keep temperatures more stable heading into Saturday and Sunday. There is a 10–30% chance of showers both days, though any rainfall is expected to be light and brief.
The NWS notes this pattern is typical for late October as the region transitions deeper into fall, with milder afternoons and chilly mornings persisting into next week.
