Davenport, IA – A gloomy and chilly start to November is expected across the Quad Cities region, but forecasters say a gradual warm-up will bring much milder conditions early next week, according to the National Weather Service in the Quad Cities.
Today’s forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies and isolated light showers with highs between 45°F and 49°F. Tonight will be cold, with lows dipping to the upper 20s and low 30s under mostly cloudy skies.
Sunday brings a return of sunshine and dry weather, with highs reaching the low to mid-50s. A brief chance of light rain may linger Sunday night across northwest Illinois, but most areas will stay dry.
The new week will start on a warmer note, with Monday’s highs climbing into the upper 50s and low 60s, followed by even warmer conditions Tuesday, when temperatures reach 60°F to 65°F.
The National Weather Service says the region will see seasonable fall warmth through midweek after today’s cool and cloudy pattern clears out.
