Quad Cities, IA/IL – Clouds will increase this afternoon and evening after a sunny morning, bringing breezy and near seasonable conditions today. A weather system will bring a chance for showers and isolated thunderstorms late tonight, primarily along and south of Interstate 80. Cooler than normal temperatures will persist over the weekend, with light showers possible on Saturday. Otherwise, mainly dry conditions are forecast for the bulk of the weekend.

According to the US National Weather Service, temperatures will range from 76 to 83 degrees today, dropping to 57 to 64 degrees tonight, with a chance of showers. Saturday will see temperatures between 72 and 81 degrees, with a few light showers possible. Sunday will be mostly dry, with temperatures ranging from 75 to 80 degrees during the day and 52 to 57 degrees at night.

Residents should prepare for the possibility of thunderstorms late tonight, especially along and south of I-80. The cooler temperatures and occasional showers will provide some relief from the recent warm weather. Breezy conditions will continue through the weekend, making it a good time to enjoy outdoor activities while staying prepared for changing weather.
