Davenport, IA – Cloudy and gloomy fall weather will hold over the Quad Cities region through Friday, with periods of patchy fog early today and highs ranging from 47° to 54°. The National Weather Service in the Quad Cities reports that widespread cloud cover will keep temperatures on the cooler side before conditions gradually improve heading into the weekend.

Forecasters say Friday will remain mostly cloudy, with a 30–60% chance of light rain mainly south of Interstate 80. Highs will reach 50° to 53°, while overnight lows fall into the mid-20s to mid-30s as skies begin to clear.

A sharp turnaround arrives Saturday as sunshine returns and temperatures warm into the 50°–55° range. Sunday brings more sunshine with highs climbing further, topping out around 56° to 60°—a welcome shift after several gray days.

No hazardous weather is expected, and travel conditions should remain manageable heading into the weekend.
