Today will feature mostly clear skies and a light breeze, with afternoon temperatures climbing comfortably into the upper 40s to lower 50s, generally ranging from 48–53°F across the area. Sunshine will dominate for most of the day, making for ideal conditions for outdoor errands, late-fall cleanup, or simply enjoying the cool but pleasant air.
Winds will remain light through the day, adding to the overall calm feel of the forecast. No precipitation is expected today or tonight, and visibility will remain excellent across eastern Iowa and western Illinois.
On Monday, the first changes begin to take shape. A developing system to the west will push increasing cloud cover into the region by afternoon. Temperatures will once again land near normal for mid-November, with highs ranging from 49–56°F. While Monday will stay dry through daylight hours, conditions will become more unsettled by late evening.
From Monday night into early Tuesday morning, a weak disturbance will pass through the region, bringing light rain to much of the Quad Cities area. The rainfall is not expected to be significant, but roads may become damp for the Tuesday morning commute. By Tuesday afternoon, rain chances will diminish, giving way to partial clearing. Despite the cloudy start, temperatures will rebound into the 45–61°F range.
The pattern settles again heading into Wednesday, which appears dry with highs in the upper 40s to upper 50s. Winds will remain light, and no major weather systems are expected midweek.
Overall, the region remains locked into a stable pattern with mild fluctuations—quiet today, clouds on Monday, light rain late Monday night into Tuesday, and a return to calm weather by midweek.
