Davenport, IA – The US National Weather Service Quad Cities says mild, tranquil conditions will continue across eastern Iowa and western Illinois through midweek, with only a slight chance of light rain Tuesday night.

Forecasters report that Monday and Tuesday will feature a mix of clouds and sunshine, with highs in the low to mid-70s. A weak weather system passing through Tuesday evening may bring spotty showers, but rainfall amounts are expected to remain light.

By Wednesday, skies will turn mostly sunny again, and temperatures could climb into the upper 70s to near 80 degrees, several degrees above average for mid-October. Winds will stay light, making for pleasant outdoor conditions.

According to the Weather Service, no hazardous weather is expected during this stretch, and overall conditions will remain stable through the end of the workweek.

Residents can look forward to an extended run of comfortable fall weather before any major pattern changes arrive this weekend.
